Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
- Supporting the organisation of stock and supplies within the kitchen
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with environmental policies
- Maintaining a tidy work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Supporting serving staff during busy periods when required
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations is desirable
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or public holidays if required
- Strong commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
