Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable 360 excavator operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to assist with excavation, site preparation, and material handling. This role demands a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work safely and efficiently on various construction projects. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in excavator operation and a background in commercial driving to contribute to large-scale infrastructure developments.
Responsibilities
- Operate the 360 excavator safely and effectively across diverse construction sites
- Assist with excavation, trenching, loading, and site clearance tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of the excavator to ensure optimal functioning and report any faults or issues
- Follow all health and safety regulations to minimise risks on site
- Coordinate with ground staff and project managers to execute tasks efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as lubrication and minor repairs when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience operating 360 excavators in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform routine maintenance
- Valid certification for excavator operation recognised within the industry
- Commercial driving licence (or equivalent) is desirable for transporting machinery between sites
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to heavy machinery operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adapt to different site environments
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism
Pay: £23.00-£25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
