Experienced Bartender / Waitress / Waiter (Part-Time)

We are looking for an experienced front-of-house team member to join our friendly countryside pub and restaurant.
This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked in a busy pub, gastropub, bar, or restaurant and is confident working independently during busy weekend services.

The Dog & Crook is an independent country pub, restaurant and Bed & Breakfast serving quality British pub classics alongside authentic Indian cuisine. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere.
The Role
We are looking for someone who is confident in both bar and table service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Taking food and drink orders accurately.
- Preparing and serving beers, wines, spirits, cocktails, and soft drinks.
- Making cocktails and mocktails (experience preferred).
- Running food and drinks to tables.
- Handling cash and card payments using the till/POS system.
- Opening and closing the bar when required.
- Keeping the bar and restaurant clean and organised.
- Working efficiently during busy weekend services.
- Providing excellent customer service at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working in a pub, bar, restaurant, or gastropub is essential.
- Confident bartender with good drinks knowledge.
- Experience making cocktails is an advantage.
- Friendly, reliable, and hardworking.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work evenings and weekends.
- Reliable transport is essential due to our countryside location.
Hours
- Part-time.
- Mainly evenings and weekends.
- Extra shifts may be available during holidays and busy periods.
