Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, ensuring that all areas are tidy, safe, and welcoming. This role is crucial in providing a clean environment for both staff, pupils and visitors, contributing to overall satisfaction and well-being.
Hours of Work
The hours of work are 15:30 pm to 17:30 pm Monday to Friday and occasional cover will be required.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
- Dust, mop, sweep, and vacuum floors to ensure cleanliness.
- Clean and sanitise surfaces, fixtures, and fittings to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure consistency and quality of work.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and request replenishments as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within set timeframes.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment used in commercial settings.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.
