✅ Learning Support Assistants - Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch
We’re looking for a passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our specialist SEND schools across Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch. Our settings span primary, secondary, and all-through provisions, and our mission is to provide tailored, meaningful support for young people with diverse needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and more complex learning differences.
In this role, you’ll deliver 1:1 and small-group support that meets each student’s unique learning style. You’ll work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and a wider multi-disciplinary team to adapt and deliver resources and activities, helping students to build confidence, independence, and self-regulation. You’ll also contribute to the implementation and review of individual plans such as EHCPs, observe and record progress, and ensure that every child feels valued, safe, and motivated in our inclusive, therapeutic, child-centred environment.
We are hiring for Learning Support Assistants to work with our rapidly growing network of SEND schools on a full-time, long-term basis.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide personalised support to students, working 1:1 or in small groups to help them access learning in ways that suit their abilities.
- Adapt and deliver engaging learning activities, including sensory or communication-focused tasks, in partnership with teachers and the SENDCo.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development, encouraging confidence, independence, and self-regulation.
- Play an active role in implementing and reviewing EHCPs, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to meet individual goals.
- Monitor and document student progress, sharing observations and insights with the SENDCo and contributing to planning and review discussions.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels safe, supported, and motivated to achieve their potential.
Who You Are:
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other needs, with experience or a strong willingness to learn.
- Patient, empathetic, and flexible, adapting support to meet each student’s individual strengths and challenges.
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate with teachers, parents, therapists, and other professionals.
- Confident in applying positive strategies to support behaviour, engagement, and self-confidence.
- Level 2/3 TA qualification or relevant experience is beneficial but not essential; additional training in autism or behaviour support is an advantage.
- Committed to safeguarding and fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students.
