Abraham House is a residential care home supporting up to 30 people living with dementia. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our friendly team.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of individuals during overnight shifts. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need, working within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care needs, including washing, dressing, and mobility during night hours.
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing throughout the shift, responding promptly to any concerns or emergencies.
- Follow individual care plans to deliver tailored support and ensure consistency of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions.
- Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and visitors.
- Adhere to health and safety and infection control regulations at all times.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment, supporting people living with dementia.
- Good understanding of care plans and procedures for supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to complete care records accurately.
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism
