Duties
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and roofing materials
- Prepare roofing surfaces by cleaning, measuring, and laying out materials according to project schematics
- Use welding techniques when necessary to secure metal components or flashing on roofs
- Operate heavy lifting equipment safely to move materials onto rooftops or around the work site
- Fabricate custom roofing components through cutting, shaping, and assembling materials such as metal sheets or flashing
- Support carpentry and masonry tasks related to roof structures or building interfaces
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of roofing projects and report hazards promptly
Skills
- Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings for roofing layouts and installations
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Construction experience with a focus on roofing, carpentry, masonry, or plumbing is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of roofing materials and installation methods to ensure quality workmanship
- Familiarity with safety standards related to working at heights and operating construction machinery
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques and safety practices
Pay: £101.68-£249.45 per day
