At McQuaid Engineering Ltd, we are seeking to recruit a highly organised and self-driven Technical & Design Engineer in an exciting new position within our Team.
Job Title: Production/Manufacturing Engineer
Location:Dungannon, Co.Tyrone
Hours of Employment: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4.15pm and Friday 7am to 1.30pm
Salary: Negotiable/Dependant on experience
Working as a member of a close-knit team, the right candidate will be working with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturing solutions are delivered which meets and exceeds Quality, Safety, Cost & Schedule Requirements.
Take sales orders for products through all engineering processes to ensure on cost on time and to customer specification. This includes design reviews, ECR updates, BOM verification, customer documentation and manuals and nesting.
Main duties
- Nest products using Sigma Nest software
- Material Requirement Planning of raw material inventory for the expedition of live orders and stock
- Sales order related activities including generation of BOM Weld kits, Stores Picking lists,
- Issuing factory drawing folders, issuing drawings for customised parts.
- Design of interface parts for sales orders
- Assistance in design of R&D products
- Administration of ISO9001 & 3834 paperwork from factory floor
- Development of product manuals
- ECR capture on workshop floor
- Machine maintenance schedule and capture from workshop floor
Experience & Skills
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Nesting/Engineering role
- Knowledge of Sigma Nest or equivalent software
- Degree/Higher Level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Competent user of CAD Software, Solidworks is advantageous
- Competent in Excel and Publisher.
- Knowledge of hydraulic components parts
- Electrical knowledge advantageous
- Knowledge of precision machine parts
