Solar EV North is growing, and we're looking for an experienced technical professional to join our team as a Technical Sales Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrician or renewable-energy professional who wants to move away from installation work and into a technical sales career.
You'll be using your technical knowledge and industry experience to help customers design and understand the right solar PV, battery storage and EV charging solutions for their homes and businesses.
The Role
As Technical Sales Manager, you'll work closely with customers from the initial enquiry through to the proposed system design and sale.
You'll be responsible for:
- Conducting customer consultations and site surveys
- Understanding customer energy requirements
- Designing suitable Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging systems
- Producing technical proposals and quotations
- Explaining technical solutions clearly to customers
- Providing accurate technical advice
- Working closely with our installation teams
- Helping customers understand the benefits of premium renewable-energy solutions
- Supporting the sales process from initial enquiry through to completion
- Maintaining Solar EV North's high standards of customer service
Who We're Looking For
Ideally, you'll be an experienced electrician who has hands-on experience with:
- Solar PV
- Battery Storage
- EV Charging
- Electrical installations and regulations
- Technical fault finding and problem solving
We are particularly interested in candidates who have reached the point in their career where they want to come off the tools and develop a long-term career in technical sales.
Previous sales experience is beneficial but not essential — strong technical knowledge, communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers are more important.
