PPM Limited is looking for an experienced Roofer / Builder to join our South Lakes property maintenance team, delivering high-quality repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works across social housing and private residential properties.

Based from our Millom branch, you will carry out a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance works across South Lakes, working within both occupied and void properties.

The role
As a Roofer / Builder, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out responsive and planned roofing repairs and maintenance
- Completing pitched and flat roofing repairs, including slate, tile and felt systems
- Diagnosing roof defects and carrying out effective repairs to prevent water ingress
- Undertaking general building repairs associated with roofing works
- Carrying out patch plastering and internal making-good following roofing repairs
- Completing brickwork, pointing, rendering and other minor building works where required
- Carrying out refurbishment works to residential properties
- Installing safety features and disability adaptations where required
- Working within occupied and void properties across social housing and private residential sectors
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining professional relationships with tenants and clients
- Managing workloads effectively and completing works within agreed timescales
- Participating in the company's on-call rota as required
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Roofer / Builder within a property maintenance or construction environment
- Strong roofing experience is essential
- Plastering experience, including patch repairs and making good, is essential
- Experience in general building repairs, brickwork and external maintenance
- Ability to carry out a variety of multi-trade tasks to support roofing works
- Relevant trade qualification in Roofing, Building or similar
- Experience working within occupied residential properties
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Experience within social housing is desirable but not essential
