The Warehouse Operative plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods and materials. This position supports operational excellence and customer satisfaction by maintaining optimal inventory levels and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
· Store finished goods and materials in designated locations following safety and operational guidelines.
· Conduct periodic stock checks and ensure accurate documentation.
Material Handling:
· Move pallets and goods within the facility using forklifts and other handling equipment.
· Prepare loading areas in line with schedules and documentation.
· Load and unload trucks as required.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
· Identify and report product damage or quality issues promptly.
· Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with BRC standards.
· Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and complete hazard tags when necessary.
Operational Support:
· Perform daily equipment checks and report faults.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives.
· Collaborate effectively with Warehouse and Production teams.
Key Skills
· Full driving license
· Valid forklift license
· Strong understanding of Health & Safety principles
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
· Flexible approach to meet business needs
Pay: £15.96 per hour
