Builder / Groundworker
Due to continued growth, AGBE Services (Automation Guaranteed Ltd) is looking for a skilled and reliable Builder / Groundworker to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive and expanding company, helping deliver high-quality groundwork, building and installation projects.
The role
You will work on a variety of commercial and domestic projects, supporting the preparation and installation of automated entrance systems and associated works. You will work both independently and alongside our Gate Installation Engineers.
Your duties will include:
-Concrete foundations and excavations
-Brickwork and general building work
-Installation of commercial and domestic fencing
-Installation of manual gates
-Drainage, ducting and groundwork preparation
-Preparing sites for gate, barrier and access-control installations
-Working safely and professionally on customer sites
-Supporting the wider installation team as required
What we’re looking for
For the Lead role, we are looking for someone with proven experience in groundwork and general building works who can take responsibility for jobs on site.
For the Skilled Labourer role, relevant practical experience is preferred, along with a willingness to learn and develop.
-Experience in groundwork, construction, fencing, brickwork or a similar trade
-A full UK driving licence
-A good understanding of safe working practices
-The ability to work well as part of a team and independently
-A reliable, practical and positive approach
-Good attention to detail and pride in your work
-Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime when required
-A valid CSCS card, plant-operation tickets, or experience with groundwork machinery would be an advantage, but are not essential if you have suitable experience.
Pay and Benefits
Lead role: £16–£20 per hour, depending on experience
Skilled Labourer: £13–£17 per hour, depending on experience
