Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to support our team in various administrative tasks in our growing Land Agency and Forestry Team based in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex. We specialise in a wide range of estate management, professional consultancy and forestry consultancy work. A rural interest is therefore a must.
We are looking for someone dynamic who will be invested in the growth of Evergreen Rural. The job will be based between our two offices in Hurstpierpoint and Warninglid. No two days will be the same, there will be opportunities to attend various meetings and site visits.
Applicants must;
- Have proven experience as a PA / an administrative or clerical role
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication.
- Have a professional presentation.
- Have good time management
- Good IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)
- Have a good financial acumen and budget management skills, as well as analytical and report writing skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Value building positive relationships with clients, colleagues and contractors.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work consistently.
- Have either book keeping or marketing experience ideally.
- Hold a valid driving licence
The role is variable and consists of assisting with the management of rural estates involving commercial, agricultural, residential, forestry and the associated professional work. On a day to day, you could be required to;
- Organise, liaise and supervise contractors.
- Assist with tenancy / lease management including preparation of new agreements, renewals and property compliance.
- Assist with any schemes, funding or government grants and seeing them through.
- Assist with the delivery of statutory obligations and compliance.
- Manage and maintain schedules, including arranging appointments and meetings.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Handle correspondence, including emails and phone calls, with professionalism and courtesy.
- Organise files and documents, ensuring easy retrieval of information.
- Assist with office management duties, including inventory control and supply ordering.
- Maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive information.
Hours will generally be 9am until 5:00pm. Competitive rate of pay and a bonus scheme.
