CNC Setter/Operator – Night Shift
Location: Ely
Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 37.5 hours per week (Night Shift)

I'm recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing precision engineering manufacturer that is looking to strengthen its production team with an experienced CNC professional.

The Role
As a CNC Setter/Operator, you'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality precision components while maintaining excellent quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Load CNC programs, set and operate CNC machines
- Produce first-off components for inspection and approval
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Maintain dimensional accuracy throughout production
- Complete production documentation accurately
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organised work area
- Report tooling wear, machine faults and quality issues promptly
- Follow best machining practices to maximise efficiency and quality
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to reduce set-up and cycle times
- Maintain work areas in line with Kaizen 5S workplace organisation standards
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC machinery
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Good understanding of machining processes and manufacturing standards
- A proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
- A team player with a strong commitment to health and safety
