Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled General Builder to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of building tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Your expertise will contribute to various phases of construction, remodeling, and restoration projects, providing vital support in creating durable, high-quality structures. Qualifications desired but not essential, own vehicle and tools preferred with a minimum 10 years experience. CV or portfolio of works would help.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute building tasks
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently across multiple project sites
- Perform carpentry duties including framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, and cabinet installation
- Conduct concrete forming, finishing, masonry work, and stucco application to meet project specifications
- Install roofing systems, flooring, tiles, glass panels, and perform drywall or plastering work
- Manage construction site safety protocols while inspecting ongoing work for quality assurance
- Assist with construction estimating and project management tasks as needed
- Support plumbing and electrical installations with proper techniques and adherence to codes
- Perform restoration work including demolition, masonry repairs, and surface refinishing
Experience
- Proven hands-on experience in general construction or related fields with a strong understanding of building processes
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate implementation of plans
- Experience with construction management practices and safety standards on active sites
- Knowledge of construction estimating procedures and material fabrication techniques
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy machinery operation
- Background in diverse construction disciplines such as carpentry (frame and trim), roofing, masonry, tile laying, welding, and concrete finishing
- Ability to perform detailed inspections for quality control and ensure compliance with building codes
- Prior experience working on residential or commercial projects involving remodeling or restoration is highly valued
