HiQ Tyres and Autocare Trafford has an exciting opportunity for a Centre Manager to join their brand new new centre in M32 0QP.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, with half a day on Saturdays on a rota basis. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience, plus an uncapped monthly bonus scheme.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Centre Manager who is also a Level 3 qualified Mechanic and qualified MOT Tester. This is a hands-on management role where you'll lead the day-to-day operation of the centre while providing excellent customer service, supporting your team and ensuring the highest standards of workmanship .
What you'll be doing as Centre Manager:
- Leading, motivating, and managing the workshop team to deliver outstanding service.
- Managing the day-to-day running of the centre, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.
- Ensuring the workshop meets Company and customer KPIs and delivers exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Managing stock levels, workshop resources, and productivity.
- Maximising sales opportunities while maintaining high technical and customer service standards.
- Supporting, training, and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Building strong customer relationships and maintaining the excellent reputation of the centre.
- Being able to carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and performing MOT tests in line with DVSA standards only if required, not as day to day expectation
What you'll need:
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
- Current MOT Tester licence.
- Previous experience managing or supervising an automotive workshop or fast-fit centre.
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and fault-finding skills.
- Excellent leadership and people management abilities.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to drive sales and profitability.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
