Part Time Guitar Teacher
London MADA is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Guitar Teacher to join our growing team from September 2026.
We are an established music and performing arts academy with an excellent reputation for educational excellence and a strong track record of examination success. Our students regularly achieve excellent results in graded music examinations, and London MADA is currently expanding as we recruit for both immediate opportunities and future teaching positions.
The successful candidate will deliver clubs and lessons to children aged 5–16 in schools and private settings across East London and Essex. Existing students are provided, with opportunities for additional work as the academy continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging guitar lessons to children of varying ages and abilities
- Prepare students for graded music examinations where appropriate
- Develop students' musical skills, confidence and enjoyment of music
- Maintain lesson records and communicate professionally with parents where required
- Support showcases, performances and academy events when appropriate
- Uphold the high standards and values of London MADA
Essential Requirements
- Experience teaching guitar
- Experience working with children
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Professional, reliable and punctual
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Experience preparing students for ABRSM, Rockschool or other graded examinations
- Ability to teach both acoustic and electric guitar
- Experience teaching small groups as well as individual lessons
