Ofsted Experienced Registered Manager
New EBD Children's Residential Home
Location: Redditch (B97)
Salary: £50,000–£65,000 DOE + bonus scheme
Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday (plus on-call)
Hi Managers,
I'm looking for an experienced Registered Manager to help me open the very first home for Alexandra's Home, and I genuinely believe this is a really exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build something special from the very beginning.
Our home is a beautiful four-bedroom property that will be registered for three children with emotional and behavioural needs (EBD).
My vision is simple: I want to create a home where children feel safe, loved, valued and given the same opportunities that any child should have, when growing up. That means not just providing care, but creating memories, building confidence and giving children experiences they'll never forget.
I'm determined to invest properly in both the children and the staff. Our children will have generous budgets for holidays, activities, hobbies, days out and anything else that helps them enjoy their childhood. We're also planning to introduce things like art therapy, play therapy and animal therapy because I want our home to be genuinely therapeutic, not just say it is!
You won't be doing this alone either. Our Responsible Individual has an Outstanding Ofsted track record as a Registered Manager and will be working alongside you every step of the way. I believe in supporting my managers, trusting them and giving them the tools they need to succeed with autonomy, not micromanaging them.
This is just the beginning for Alexandra's Home. I have ambitious plans to open more homes over the coming years, so if you're someone who wants to progress into senior leadership, I'd love to help you grow with the business.
I'm looking for someone who has:
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare.
- At least two years' experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager.
- Experience in the opening and registration of a new Ofsted Children’s Residential Home.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Children's Homes Regulations.
- The passion to build an Outstanding home where children can truly thrive.
