Help Shape the Future of Hundreds of Local Students
HD Tuition is one of Somerset's leading private tuition centres.
Since opening, we've supported over 500 local families. We provide small-group tuition (maximum four students) in a calm, modern learning environment, delivered by an exceptional team of qualified teachers.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an outstanding PA & Office Coordinator to become the right hand to our Managing Director, Chloe.
This isn't just an administration job.
You'll become the person who keeps the business running. From organising student schedules and supporting teachers to speaking with parents and helping create marketing content, you'll be at the heart of everything we do.
If you love organisation, enjoy variety and take pride in making things happen, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
No two days are ever the same.
You'll split your time between supporting the day-to-day running of the tuition centre and providing PA support to our Managing Director.
You'll be trusted with real responsibility and become an integral part of a growing business.
Office Coordinator Responsibilities
- Preparing each day's lessons and sending work to student iPads
- Ensuring every classroom is fully prepared before teaching begins
- Keeping student records and internal systems accurate and up to date
- Creating student schedules, calendars and timetables
- Producing professional resources and marketing material using Canva
- Ordering and organising teaching resources and office supplies
- Supporting teachers with anything they need to deliver exceptional lessons
Business PA Responsibilities
- Managing diaries, schedules, meetings and taster appointments
- Speaking with parents by phone and email in a warm, professional manner
- Assisting with social media content, brochures and business communications
- Helping coordinate projects across the business
- Supporting the Managing Director with a wide variety of administrative tasks
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being organised.
You'll probably be the type of person who colour-codes calendars, writes lists for everything and notices details that other people miss.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a PA, Administrative, Receptionist or Office Coordinator role.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using spreadsheets and cloud-based software.
- Experience using Canva, Google Workspace, and/or CRM or booking systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence speaking with parents both on the telephone and via email.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining calm and organised.
- A proactive attitude with the confidence to take ownership of tasks.
- Experience working within a school, tuition centre or other child-focused environment.
What We're Looking For
We're not simply looking for someone to answer emails.
We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership.
Someone who spots what needs doing before anyone asks.
Someone who takes pride in making sure every student arrives to the right lesson, every teacher has everything they need, and every parent receives excellent communication.
You'll quickly become someone the whole team relies upon.
What You'll Receive
- £13.00 per hour (32.5 hours per week)
- Term-time only, with every school holiday off unless additional work is mutually agreed.
- Paid induction and training before September so you feel confident from your first day.
- Full training on our internal systems and processes.
- A modern, friendly working environment.
- A genuinely varied role where no two days are the same.
- The opportunity to play a key role in one of Somerset's fastest-growing education businesses.
- A supportive team that values your ideas and contribution from day one.
