KGO Motor Group
Job Title: Car Valeter / Photographer
Hours: Full-time, permanent
About us
KGO Motor Group is a used car dealership built on a reputation for quality vehicles and high presentation standards. Every car that leaves our forecourt reflects the pride we take in our stock, and first impressions matter more than ever when buyers are browsing online before they visit us in person.
About the role
We're looking for a Car Valeter / Photographer to keep our vehicles looking their absolute best and to capture them at their best on camera. This is a dual role: you'll be responsible for preparing and maintaining the high standard of presentation our customers expect, and for photographing new stock ready for our website and advertising platforms. It's a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and has a good eye for detail.
Key responsibilities
Valeting and vehicle presentation
- Fully valet vehicles inside and out to a high retail standard, including washing, polishing, waxing, interior cleaning, shampooing and finishing
- Prepare newly acquired stock for sale and give handover vehicles a final detail before customer collection
- Maintain the presentation of forecourt and showroom vehicles day to day, keeping them clean and sales-ready in all weather
- Spot and flag any cosmetic issues, damage or mechanical concerns to the relevant team
- Keep the valeting bay, equipment and materials clean, tidy and well stocked
Photography
- Photograph new stock promptly so vehicles can be advertised quickly and accurately
- Capture clear, consistent, well-lit images of the exterior, interior and any notable features or faults
- Ensure photos meet our standard for online listings and advertising platforms
- Upload and organise images as required, working with the sales team to get vehicles live
What we're looking for
- A strong eye for detail and genuine pride in presentation
- A reliable, self-motivated attitude and willingness to work outdoors in all weather
- Good time management, able to turn stock around quickly without dropping standards
- A full UK driving licence (essential, as you'll be moving vehicles on site)
- Some photography ability or a willingness to learn our process
Experience
Previous valeting or vehicle photography experience is welcome, but not essential — we're open to trainees. If you're hard-working, take pride in your work and are keen to learn, we'll give you the training and support to succeed.
