Who are we looking for?
· A Legal Aid Costs Lawyer or Law Costs Draftsperson with over five years’ experience of preparing legal aid bills, CCMS e-bills and high costs CCFS and hourly rate case plans.
· Drafting experience essential in some or all of the following areas:
1. CoP, Housing, Judicial Review
2· Proficient in CostsMaster
3· Able to be a mentor for more junior draftspersons
4· Help in upskilling team members in
The primary role will include tasks such as:
1. Drafting legal aid bills of costs for court assessment
2. Preparing CCMS e-bills
3. Preparing bundles for the LAA and court
4. Preparing hourly rate case plans
5. Preparing CCFS case plans
6. Preparing details cost comparisons
7. Drafting High Cost registration documents
8. Advising clients
