Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils, in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring that all items are fresh and presented attractively.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accurate accounting of sales.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance barista skills and knowledge of menu items.
Experience
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not essential; we are willing to train enthusiastic candidates.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is crucial to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Basic math skills are required for handling transactions and managing cash flow.
