We are currently recruiting a Forklift Driver for a busy wholesale and distribution operation based in Newry.
As a Forklift Driver, you will play an important role in supporting warehouse operations, ensuring stock is received, stored and prepared accurately for customer orders and deliveries.
Working closely with warehouse colleagues, you will help maintain stock accuracy, support order fulfilment and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse.
Shift Times:
- Monday to Wednesday - 6:00am to 3:30pm
- Thursdays - 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Fridays - 8:00am to 2:30pm
What You'll Be Doing
- Operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently within a busy warehouse environment.
- Unload deliveries and organise stock accurately.
- Prepare wholesale orders ready for delivery.
- Pick and scan orders using RF scanning equipment.
- Build and replenish pick locations to ensure product availability.
- Maintain stock accuracy and minimise picking errors.
- Communicate stock issues with the Stock Department.
- Ensure team targets and operational procedures are achieved.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Report any concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service levels.
- Work collaboratively as part of a fast-moving warehouse team.
Essential Criteria
- GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Hold, or have held within the last three years, a Reach Truck Forklift Licence.
- Experience working within a warehouse environment.
- Experience operating a forklift truck in a busy warehouse setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical and manual dexterity.
- Results-driven approach with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to undertake training.
