Estimating Assistant
Location: Just outside Rugby
Hours: Full Time, Permanent
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimating Assistant to join a specialist manufacturer of bespoke joinery and furniture solutions. Working closely with the Estimating Manager, you will support the preparation of quotations, costing exercises and commercial documentation for a wide range of high-quality, custom-built projects.
This is not a purely office-based administrative position. Whilst strong organisational and administrative skills are essential, the successful candidate will be encouraged to gain a hands-on understanding of the products, manufacturing processes and project requirements. You will work closely with operational, production and commercial teams to develop a thorough understanding of bespoke joinery and furniture manufacture, enabling you to produce accurate and commercially viable estimates.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience within joinery, furniture manufacturing, fit-out, construction, interiors or a similar project-led environment. This could suit an existing Estimating Assistant, Commercial Administrator, Project Coordinator or someone from a workshop, production or technical support background looking to develop a long-term career within estimating.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the estimating function across multiple bespoke projects. You will assist in producing costings, managing enquiries, liaising with suppliers and ensuring all commercial information is accurately maintained.
You will gain exposure to every stage of the estimating process, working closely with both internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure projects are assessed accurately and commercially.
