Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing coffee and other drinks but also ensuring that our café maintains a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
Experience with food preparation is also desirable.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, ensuring all equipment is clean and functional.
- Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Engage with customers, taking their orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
Skills
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- A helpful attitude towards customers and team members, fostering a positive work environment.
- Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
