The UK’s premier Access Platform specialists Blade Access is looking for HGV Class 2 driver/operators to be based from our Brentwood Yard. As a Blade Access platform operator, you will be the face of the largest independent truck mounted access hire company in the UK, providing our clients with safe access to work at heights. Based from our Brentwood Yard with one of our specialist HGV Class 2 Platforms you will cover jobs in your immediate and surrounding areas, but you will often be called upon to assist our clients nationwide.
Our esteemed clients vary in industry type from construction to heavy industries through to Film/TV, telecoms and signage to name a few. Almost everyday is different from the last, one day you could be working on the rolling hills of a windfarm the next you could be assisting with the maintenance of the UK’s power grid the UK’s 5G network.
Pay £18.50 Flat rate (paid for a minimum 40hrs pw)
£50 uplift on top of Weekend shifts
£60 uplift on night shifts
£40 second job uplift
£25 weekly bonus for meeting company expectations
Responsibilities
- Arrive on site at given time
- To Provide customers with means to work safely at height
- Operate the platform in a safe professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service to client personnel on site
- Be up to date with all current health and safety policies, procedures, guidelines and laws
- Assist with our nationwide coverage of the UK and Northern Ireland
- To have in depth knowledge of machine capabilities and operation.
- Provide HQ with up to date site information by use of tablet
To be a successful Blade Access Platform Operator you will possess skills such as;

The position is required to work at heights between 16m - 103m.
Must have a full clean driving licence and be over 21.
IPAF 1b is not essential but advantageous. Experience with Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP's) is also not essential but advantageous.
CSCS card not essential but advantageous
Full training is provided
Travel is a large part of the role
Plenty of overtime as per clients needs
Weekend Rota- Weekend on Weekend Off
