Responsibilities
Assist welders with setting up welding equipment and preparing work areas for TIG/MIG welding and other specialized techniques.
Handle hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently to support assembly and sheet metal work.
Support the measurement and cutting of materials using basic math skills to ensure precise fabrication standards.
Help with the handling of sheet metal, ensuring proper alignment and positioning for welding or assembly tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including storing tools and materials securely after use.
Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations, including wearing appropriate protective gear.
Assist with basic mechanical tasks involved in assembly, ensuring components are correctly fitted and secured.
Experience
Previous experience working with hand tools, power tools, or in a fabrication environment is preferred but not required—training will be provided.
Familiarity with welding processes such as TIG/Mig welding or welding is a plus; candidates interested in developing these skills are encouraged to apply.
Mechanical knowledge or understanding of basic math concepts will help you succeed in measuring and assembling parts accurately.
Experience working with sheet metal or in a manufacturing setting can be advantageous but is not mandatory.
A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and willingness to learn are essential qualities for success in this role.
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
