Location: Bispham area
Salary: £25,500 dependent on experience

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible start and finish times), office based

This role would suit someone who enjoys a mix of sales, account management, customer service and administration. You’ll be speaking with schools and clients, creating tailored proposals, managing enquiries, building long-term relationships and working towards both personal and team targets.

The role
As Sales Consultant, you’ll be responsible for developing new business opportunities while also managing and supporting existing client relationships.
Day to day, you will:
- Contact new and existing clients by phone and email
- Build relationships with schools and key decision-makers
- Understand client requirements and create tailored travel proposals
- Prepare accurate costings using internal systems
- Liaise with internal teams to arrange travel, accommodation and visits
- Provide accurate information on destinations, hotels and tour options
- Manage enquiries efficiently and professionally
- Work towards individual and team sales targets
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the sales process
- Maintain accurate records and follow internal procedures
- Develop strong product and destination knowledge
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, service and sales activity
There may also be occasional opportunities to take part in familiarisation or inspection visits, helping you build first-hand knowledge of the products and destinations.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is motivated, organised and confident speaking with customers.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous telesales, sales, or account management experience
- Experience working to targets
- A confident and professional telephone manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- The ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload
- A proactive, positive and resilient approach
- Strong customer service skills
- Good numeracy and commercial awareness
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Experience within travel, education, school trips or tour planning would be beneficial, but it is not essential. More important is your ability to build relationships, follow processes, learn quickly and provide a brilliant service.
