Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our dedicated care home team. Duties
- Assist the Home Manager in overseeing daily care home operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- Supervise and support care staff, promoting best practices in nursing, dementia care, and medication administration
- Develop, implement, and review personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including Alzheimer’s and other memory-related conditions
- Lead by example in delivering high-quality senior care, including assistance with daily activities and emotional support
- Monitor health and safety procedures within the home to maintain a secure environment for residents and staff
- Coordinate staff rotas, manage resource allocation, and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
- Foster a positive team culture through leadership, supervision, training opportunities, and performance management
Experience
- Proven experience working in assisted living or nursing home environments with a focus on senior or dementia care
- Demonstrated supervisory or management experience within a care home setting
- Strong knowledge of care planning processes, medication administration protocols, and regulatory compliance standards
- Experience in managing or supervising teams of healthcare professionals or carers
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s and dementia-specific care approaches is highly desirable
- Previous involvement in developing person-centered care strategies that enhance quality of life for residents
- Excellent leadership skills combined with compassionate communication to motivate staff and engage residents effectively

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
