We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, supporting chefs and restaurant staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Support chefs with organisational duties such as restocking supplies and maintaining storage areas.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure the kitchen remains clean and safe at all times.
- Help with the movement of dishes, cookware, and supplies around the kitchen area.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen hygiene practices is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required within a hospitality setting.
