Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Toddler Room Leader to oversee and create a nurturing environment for our team and children. This full-time role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and experienced in managing a nursery environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere for toddlers, fostering their development through structured activities and personalised care. A strong emphasis on leadership, communication, and organisational skills is essential to ensure the smooth operation of the toddler room.
Duties
- Lead and supervise daily activities within the toddler room, ensuring they are age-appropriate, educational, and engaging.
- Plan and implement developmentally suitable programmes that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on childcare best practices.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
- Organise regular assessments of children's development and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in care and educational approaches.
- Ensure compliance with all nursery policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification ( Required)
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting; nursery experience or early childhood education qualifications are highly desirable.
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee staff and organise daily operations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English to liaise confidently with parents, team and children.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with children, showing patience, empathy and enthusiasm.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Job Types: Full-time 40 hours a week.
