We’re looking for a reliable, organised and patient-focused Qualified Pharmacy Dispenser to join our busy community pharmacy in Herne Bay, Kent.
Working closely with our pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team, you’ll play an important role in ensuring prescriptions are dispensed safely, accurately and efficiently, while providing a friendly and professional service to our patients and customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dispenser who takes pride in their work, has a strong eye for detail and enjoys being part of a supportive, close-knit team.
The role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the supervision of the pharmacist.
- Assembling, labelling and preparing medicines in accordance with SOPs and relevant professional standards.
- Supporting the safe and efficient running of the dispensary.
- Managing stock, including ordering, deliveries and date-checking.
- Maintaining an organised and well-presented dispensary.
- Providing friendly, professional and discreet customer service.
- Handling patient and customer queries appropriately and referring clinical queries to the pharmacist where required.
- Supporting the wider pharmacy team with day-to-day operations and service delivery.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Qualified to NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent – essential.
- Experienced in a community pharmacy environment, ideally.
- Accurate, methodical and highly attentive to detail.
- Friendly, approachable and professional.
- Confident communicating with patients, customers and colleagues.
- Well organised and able to manage a busy workload.
- Reliable, hardworking and committed to providing excellent patient care.
- A positive team player who enjoys working in a supportive environment.
