We’re looking for a skilled and people‑focused Business Analyst to join our ICT, Data and Digital team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys understanding how organisations work, building strong relationships with stakeholders and helping turn ideas into practical improvements. You'll work across WCHG to understand challenges, identify opportunities and help shape solutions that improve services for both colleagues and customers.
Whilst strong analytical skills are important, this role is equally about people. You'll spend a significant amount of time engaging with stakeholders, facilitating workshops, challenging constructively and building trusted relationships that help drive meaningful change across the organisation.
About the role
As a Business Analyst, you'll support a range of transformation, change and digital improvement initiatives. You'll work closely with colleagues across all areas of the business, gathering requirements, mapping processes and ensuring solutions are genuinely aligned with business needs.
This is a varied role that combines analytical thinking with communication, facilitation and relationship‑building skills.
What you'll be doing
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand challenges, gather requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitating workshops and discussions to help teams shape solutions and achieve shared outcomes.
- Mapping and analysing current and future business processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience.
- Supporting project delivery by defining requirements, shaping acceptance criteria and contributing to testing and implementation activities.
- Building strong working relationships across the organisation, acting as a trusted partner throughout change initiatives.
- Supporting continuous improvement by promoting best practice and helping embed a culture of innovation and efficiency.
What we're looking for
- Experience working in a Business Analyst role, ideally within Digital Services, ICT or a change environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence and engage people at all levels.
- Experience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements and translating business needs into practical solutions.
- Strong process mapping and business improvement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently across a range of projects.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Professional Business Analysis qualification (or working towards one) is desirable.
