Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Tiling Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist with various tiling and general construction tasks, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the building trade, working on diverse projects that require attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing surfaces for tiling, including cleaning and levelling.
- Mix and apply adhesives, grouts, and sealants as directed.
- Handle and operate hand tools such as trowels, cutters, and levels to facilitate precise tiling work.
- Support with the installation of tiles according to schematics and project specifications.
- Use power tools safely for cutting tiles and other materials.
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to tiling projects, including framing or minor repairs.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during site operations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure efficiency and safety standards are met.
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction or tiling is preferable
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry skills is desirable.
- Experience with construction painting or general building work is beneficial.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials safely.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team.
- Reliable with a positive attitude
