About the Role
Based from our East Kilbride office, this role is primarily focused on delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties throughout Scotland and North East England.
You will be responsible for carrying out scheduled maintenance visits, statutory inspections, and compliance testing to ensure electrical systems remain safe, reliable, and fully operational. Working from planned maintenance schedules through our Simpro CAFM system, you will complete routine servicing, inspections, testing, and minor remedial works while maintaining accurate digital records.
Although the primary focus is PPM, you will also support reactive maintenance, fault finding, small installation projects and emergency callouts where required.
Typical duties include:
- Carrying out scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) visits.
- Electrical inspection, testing and compliance checks.
- Emergency Lighting (EML) testing and associated remedial works.
- Minor electrical repairs identified during planned maintenance visits.
- Fault finding and diagnosis where necessary.
- Supporting small installation and improvement projects.
- Completing digital job reports, certification and compliance documentation using our CAFM system.
- Maintaining excellent communication with clients while delivering a high standard of service.
About You
The following requirements are essential:
- Recognised Electrical Qualification.
- Inspection & Testing qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' electrical experience.
- Strong background in commercial Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
- Good understanding of statutory inspections, compliance, and electrical maintenance programmes.
- Working knowledge of current electrical regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
- High level of Health & Safety awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider FM team.
- Computer literate and confident using digital job management systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Flexible approach to working hours and travel.
The following are desirable:
- 18th Edition Qualification.
- PASMA Certification.
- IPAF Certification.
- CSCS Card.
