Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Bottled Water Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting water cooler bottles and machines to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate efficiently. The Delivery Driver will also be expected to assist with loading and unloading items, making this position suitable for individuals who are comfortable with heavy lifting.
Duties
- Safely operate a 3500kgs delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
- Avoid traffic fines and parking tickets
- Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
- Accept cash and card payments from customers
- Use of Spoke app to organize deliveries and report customer payments
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence; experience in commercial driving is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus, including inventory management practices.
- Candidates must have a suitable smartphone which can use the Spoke transport and logistics App
This job is being offered on a 2 month trial basis but may transfer into a full time permanent position
