About Us
At Anytime Fitness Maidenhead, we’re proud to be Maidenhead’s Only Premium 24/7 Gym & #1 Rated Gym on Google, with 470+ 5★ Reviews.
We’re also incredibly proud to have been voted Anytime Fitness UK Club of the Year 2026, an award recognising our commitment to our members, our team, our facilities and the standards we deliver every day.
Why us? Because not all gyms are the same.
We’ve built our reputation around delivering an exceptional member experience through premium equipment, outstanding customer service and immaculate facilities, all within a friendly, motivating and supportive environment.
Our gym is fitted and maintained to exceptionally high standards, and we deliberately cap our membership numbers to protect the experience, comfort and quality our members expect.
We’re not only Maidenhead’s #1 rated gym; we’re also one of the top-performing Anytime Fitness clubs within the UK network. Being named Anytime Fitness UK Club of the Year 2026 is a reflection of the standards our team works hard to maintain every day.
The Role
We’re looking for a passionate, proactive and reliable Duty Manager to join our team on a part-time basis, working 3 days per week, including weekends.
The role offers additional hours when required to cover annual leave, maintenance tasks and other operational requirements. There is also the potential for full-time hours for the right candidate, depending on future business requirements.
This is a genuinely hands-on role and cleaning is a major part of the position.
Our cleanliness standards are extremely high, and maintaining them is not simply an additional responsibility – it is fundamental to the role. If you don’t enjoy cleaning, take pride in your surroundings or have a strong eye for detail, this probably isn’t the right position for you.
As a Duty Manager within a 24/7 gym, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the club. You’ll support members, maintain health and safety standards, manage the club during staffed hours, deal with issues as they arise and ensure everything operates efficiently and professionally in line with Anytime Fitness standards.
You’ll be joining a small, high-performing team, so we’re looking for someone who is prepared to get stuck in and understands that every task – whether big or small – contributes to the overall member experience.
The role also involves working alone at times, meaning self-motivation, initiative, sound judgement and accountability are essential. All positions within our franchise are considered management roles because team members are trusted to make appropriate decisions and take responsibility while working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional level of customer service and member engagement across the gym floor, welcome desk, telephone, email and social media.
- Take ownership of cleaning duties, ensuring the entire club remains spotless, sanitised and presentable throughout the day.
- Carry out regular cleaning checks and proactively address anything that falls below our standards.
- Support the Club Manager and Senior Duty Manager with the day-to-day operation of the club.
- Ensure the gym remains clean, tidy, safe and fully operational at all times.
- Complete full gym resets, including equipment and weight resets, maintaining an organised, professional and safe environment.
- Assist members with queries, feedback and issues in a friendly, professional and solution-focused manner.
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence on the gym floor.
- Build positive relationships with members and contribute to creating a strong gym community.
- Support sales and membership processes when required, including tours, enquiries, sign-ups and renewals.
- Complete daily health and safety checks and report incidents or concerns appropriately.
- Identify and report maintenance issues and assist with coordinating repairs where required.
- Help ensure all operational standards consistently reflect the premium position of the club.
- Support the wider team with additional operational tasks as required.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, confident and approachable, with a genuine passion for health and fitness.
- A strong communicator who enjoys talking to people and building relationships.
- Reliable, organised and proactive, with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and capable of taking initiative without constant supervision.
- Customer-focused, professional and solution-oriented.
- Not afraid to clean and understands that exceptional cleanliness is a fundamental part of a premium gym experience.
- Physically capable of carrying out gym resets and other hands-on operational tasks.
- Comfortable dealing with a variety of situations and making sensible decisions when working alone.
- A positive, hardworking team player who takes pride in their work.
- Ideally experienced within the fitness, hospitality, retail or customer service industries, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.
Previous gym experience is preferred but not essential. We’re more interested in the right attitude, work ethic, personality and attention to detail than simply having previous experience in a gym.
A Level 3 Personal Training qualification would be advantageous and may provide opportunities for additional income through coaching or personal training, subject to the club’s requirements and availability.
What We Offer
- Immediate start for the right candidate.
- Part-time contract of 3 days per week, including weekends.
- Additional hours available for annual leave, maintenance and operational requirements.
- Potential for full-time hours for the right candidate, subject to business requirements.
- Team performance-related bonus.
- Free gym membership.
- Supportive, friendly and high-performing team environment.
- Opportunities for professional development and progression within the Anytime Fitness network.
- The opportunity to work within Anytime Fitness UK Club of the Year 2026.
- The chance to learn the fitness industry from a unique management perspective, working alongside a management team with 20+ years of industry experience, including opening gyms from scratch, turning around underperforming clubs and managing successful, established facilities.
- The opportunity to be part of a successful and growing franchise, with plans to open additional Anytime Fitness sites as opportunities arise.
- Potential for career progression and increased responsibility as the business continues to grow.
Why Join Us?
This isn’t a role where you simply turn up, sit behind a desk and wait for the next task.

Our 2026 Club of the Year award reflects the standards we’ve achieved as a team – and we’re looking for someone who wants to help us maintain and build on them.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
