As our business continues to grow, we are looking for professional, reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our Trade Waste Collection team based in our Brighton depot.

The Role
You'll be responsible for completing scheduled commercial trade waste collections for customers across Sussex and the South East.
Working on a planned route, you'll collect wheeled bins and bagged waste from a variety of commercial premises while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high safety standards.
This is primarily a single-driver operation, giving you responsibility for managing your own route while having the full support of our operations team behind you.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled trade waste collections from commercial customers
- Service wheeled bins and bagged waste collections
- Operate safely and professionally at all times
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Use onboard systems to record collections and daily activity
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the company
- Support wider operational activities when required, including:
- Site clearances
- Bin deliveries and exchanges
- Yard duties
- Skip or container work
Where You'll Work
Our customer base covers a large area including:
- Brighton
- Crawley
- Croydon
- Tunbridge Wells
- Arundel
- Hastings
- Eastbourne
- Surrounding areas across Sussex and the South East
Routes are planned daily and may vary depending on operational requirements.
Area knowledge is advantageous. Full training, route information and ongoing operational support are provided, although successful drivers will be comfortable working independently and adapting to different routes.
Training & Support
We provide approximately one week of initial training to help you become familiar with:
- The vehicle
- Company systems
- Collection procedures
- Route management
Our office and transport teams are always available to support drivers, but we are looking for quick learners who are confident working independently and taking ownership of their daily workload.
Working Hours
- Start times from 04:00 depending on operational requirements
- Full working day expected
- Permanent salaried position
- 1 in 2 Saturday or Sunday rota
- Bank Holiday working required as part of our service operation
- Primarily based from our Brighton depot
- Occasional operation from our Turners Hill depot when required
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Driver CPC Qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Right to work in the UK
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A professional and reliable approach to work
- Ability to work independently and manage a planned route
- Physically fit and comfortable with an active role involving manual handling
Desirable
- Previous waste collection experience
- Multi-drop or multi-stop driving experience
- Rear steer vehicle experience
A Role for Drivers Who Like to Stay Active
This is a physically active job involving the handling of wheeled bins and waste containers, typically completing between 90 and 150 collections per day.

Pay: £45,050.00 per year
