Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, functional, and stored properly after use.
- Support the organization of storage areas by rotating stock and ensuring ingredients are stored safely.
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to promote an environmentally friendly workspace.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
- Support the team during busy service periods by providing additional assistance as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of hygiene standards and safety procedures in a culinary environment.
