Our client is an AI-Native company focuses on TIC industry. They are hiring the first Mobile Engineer based in London (Onsite).
-
Own mobile product end to end — from customer calls and spec to build and ship, across iOS and Android.
-
Sit with users in the field to understand how they actually work on-site and on-the-go.
-
Build production-grade cross-platform apps in React Native + TypeScript; drop into native (Swift/Kotlin) when needed — camera, sensors, background tasks, secure storage.
-
Maintain existing apps and build new ones; own App Store / Google Play release and update cycles.
-
Design for unreliable connectivity: local persistence, offline capture, conflict resolution, reliable sync.
-
Translate messy real-world field processes into clear, intuitive mobile UX.
-
Integrate AI features (LLMs, agents, model-backed APIs, on-device/voice) into mobile workflows where they help.
Requirements
-
Exceptional engineering pedigree (non-negotiable) — standout work at a top company, AI lab, elite trading firm, or fast-scaling startup; equally open to engineers who've built and shipped apps at strong startups. A famous logo isn't required, but it helps.
-
Strong TypeScript and React Native (or equivalent cross-platform framework) — RN + TS is the preference, but exceptional engineers from other mobile stacks will be considered.
-
Solid native mobile fundamentals across iOS and Android (both matter at launch), and comfortable reaching into native code (Swift/Kotlin) when the RN layer isn't enough.
-
Comfortable building and consuming backend services that support complex mobile workflows (Python a plus).
-
Reasons about complex workflows and offline-first constraints, not just CRUD.
-
Comfortable talking directly with customers, including non-technical domain experts, in the field.
