We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our friendly dental practice. Duties
- Assisting dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Managing patient records accurately and maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Greeting patients warmly, scheduling appointments, and managing the practice diary
- Handling patient enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Processing payments and updating patient information using IT systems
- Providing advice on post-treatment care and answering patient questions effectively
- Ensuring the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and organised at all times
- Supporting the team with administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and stock management
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or Receptionist within a dental practice or healthcare environment
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
- Strong organisational skills to manage appointments, records, and administrative tasks efficiently
- Good IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software and MS Office programmes
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to liaise confidently with patients and team members
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Outstanding organisational skills to prioritise tasks and ensure smooth daily operations
- Ability to work as part of a team whilst also demonstrating independence when required
