Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring guests enjoy their experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organised, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Serve drinks and beverages to customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Take orders accurately and process payments using the till system
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses and utensils
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables when required
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating good basic maths skills
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently, demonstrating strong time management skills
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional attitude
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment
- Strong communication skills and a positive approach to customer service
- Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol legally
- A personable demeanour with the ability to work as part of a team
