We are looking for weekend cafe assistants to join our team. Sunny Skies Cafe is a not-for-profit community cafe in the heart of Melton Mowbray country park. As one of our weekend staff, your role would involve serving customers, brewing delicious coffee (don't worry - we provide all the training you need!), and keeping the cafe area clean and tidy.
As well as making our customers happy, your work will help us raise funds to provide adults with a learning disability access to work and wellbeing opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and take orders
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks
- Assist with food preparation
- Ensure food safety standards are maintained at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, indoor and outdoor cafe areas, and equipment throughout shifts
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth café operations
- Follow health and safety regulations
About you
- No experience necessary - we will get you trained up!
- You must have a positive can-do attitude
- Have good communication skills and be confident talking to customers
- Able to regularly work Saturdays and/or Sundays (hours negotiable)
- Be passionate about creating a warm and friendly cafe environment!
