Job Role and Responsibilities
As an Early Years Practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for children aged 0–5 years. Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering age-appropriate, creative, and engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Supporting children’s physical, emotional, social, and educational development
Observing and assessing children’s progress and maintaining accurate records
Building strong relationships with children, families, and the wider nursery team
Promoting a safe, caring, and inclusive environment
Contributing to team meetings, training, and continuous professional development
Supporting the nursery’s values of inclusivity, kindness, and community
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years Education (or working towards)
- Passionate about working with young children and supporting their development
- Friendly, nurturing, and approachable
- A strong team player with good communication and organisational skills
- Knowledgeable about EYFS principles, safeguarding, and health & safety
Entry requirements
GCSE grade 4 (C) or above in English & Maths
Lived within the UK for a minimum of 3 years
Full & Relevant Level 2 qualification in Early Years
Training to be provided
Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
Peadiatric First Aid
