Shipping Coordinator Role & Responsibilities
UK Creative Services seeks a International Shipping Coordinator to join our Logistics and Operation Team. Reporting to the Shipping Manager, you will contribute to delivering our exciting vision to set a new benchmark in duty free retailing.
Our award-winning stores are located in the opened state of the art L.F. Wade airport on the island of Bermuda.

Role Overview
This is a new role created to respond to the growth we are experiencing since our stores opened in December 2020.
The Shipping Coordinator will work closely with the (London based) Shipping manager; Merchandising team taking ownership of the end to end process of shipping our diverse range of private label and branded ranges from multiple jurisdictions with optimum efficiency.
Job responsibilities
- Managing shipments by sea, air, road, and courier from global locations to Bermuda, the UK, Europe to the UK, Europe to Europe, and the Far East to Bermuda/UK
- Coordinating with the shipping team to provide administrative support for all shipments/documents.
- Communicating with suppliers or factories to ensure all required documentation in place, such as factory invoices, packing lists, pallet/carton details, item descriptions, bulk packaging information, and relevant certificates
- Verifying the carton size, weight, and shipping marks before the supplier or factory hands over the order
- Comparing delivery or pickup quotes from multiple forwarders and summarizing the most cost-effective options
- Keeping the updated on shipping plan
- Collaborating with suppliers or factories to arrange pickups or deliveries to the forwarder’s warehouse.
- Updating the product cost summary.
- Preparing shipping invoices and packing lists.
- Maintaining daily updates of the shipment delivery summary.
- Entering delivery quantities into the retail system.
- Overseeing the management of the shipment delivery summary.
Personal skills
- Experience in managing multiple shipments via sea, air, road, and courier services is essential.
- In-depth understanding of delivery processes and the required documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP functions and basic formulas for costing.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently while also being a strong team player.
- Flexible and willing to take on evolving responsibilities, with a proactive attitude toward learning. Capable of critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively between the team, suppliers, factories, and forwarders across the London, New York, and Bermuda with the goal of achieving a ‘one team’ approach
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Ideal candidates should have at least 1 year of logistics experience.
- A good understanding of the geography of the UK, Europe, and the Far East is preferred.
