Company: Y Ddraig Ltd
Brands: Crisp & Fry, IQ Training and No Mates Rates
Location: Carmarthenshire, South Wales – hybrid working available
Job Type: Part-time, with the opportunity to grow
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
About the Role
We are looking for a creative, energetic and commercially minded Social Media and Content Creation Manager to help grow three exciting and very different brands.
This is not simply a role for somebody to schedule the occasional Facebook post. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of our social media presence, create engaging content, generate fresh ideas and help turn attention into customers.
Our brands include:
Crisp & Fry – a busy, established fish and chip business with locations in Carmarthenshire.
IQ Training – a growing online training provider offering food hygiene, health and safety, fire safety, first aid and compliance courses to individuals and businesses across the UK.
No Mates Rates – a new quoting and invoicing app designed for tradespeople and small business owners, helping them “quote on site, not at night”.
Each brand has its own audience, tone and opportunities. The successful person will help us tell their stories, showcase what we do and build loyal online communities around them.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will take responsibility for planning, creating and managing regular content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing a clear social media strategy for each brand
- Creating engaging short-form videos, reels, posts, stories and graphics
- Visiting our businesses when required to capture photographs and video content
- Filming and editing behind-the-scenes, educational, promotional and personality-led content
- Writing engaging captions, headlines and calls to action
- Planning and maintaining a consistent content calendar
- Scheduling and publishing content across multiple platforms
- Responding to comments and helping build engagement with our audiences
- Creating content around offers, new products, business updates and seasonal campaigns
- Developing educational content for IQ Training
- Creating relatable, entertaining content aimed at tradespeople for No Mates Rates
- Showcasing the people, food and day-to-day activity behind Crisp & Fry
- Monitoring performance and identifying which content is generating the best results
- Suggesting new campaigns, collaborations, competitions and growth ideas
- Keeping up with relevant trends without simply copying what everyone else is doing
- Working directly with the company director to turn ideas into content quickly
The Person We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is creative, organised and comfortable working independently.
You should be able to take a rough idea and turn it into content that looks professional, feels natural and connects with the right audience.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience creating content for businesses or brands
- A strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Confidence filming and editing short-form video content
- Good copywriting and communication skills
- Experience using tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar software
- An understanding of social media trends and platform algorithms
- The ability to manage several brands with different audiences and tones
- A proactive attitude and the confidence to suggest your own ideas
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- An understanding that content should ultimately support sales, enquiries, downloads and business growth
Experience with paid social advertising, email marketing, app marketing, e-commerce or online course businesses would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
You do not need to be in front of the camera for every piece of content, but you must be comfortable directing others, capturing natural footage and helping people feel relaxed while filming.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to work across three genuinely different businesses rather than producing the same type of content every day.
You will have the freedom to be creative, test new ideas and make a visible impact on the growth of each brand.
We offer:
- Flexible part-time working
- A mixture of on-site and remote work
- Creative freedom and direct access to the business owner
- The opportunity to shape the social media strategy from the ground up
- Varied content across food, online education, technology and the trades
- The potential for the position and working hours to grow as the brands develop
- A relaxed, practical working environment where good ideas can be acted on quickly
Hours
The role will initially be part-time, with hours agreed depending on the successful candidate’s experience and availability.
Some flexibility will be required to visit our locations and capture content during busy periods, events, product launches or promotional campaigns.
How to Apply
Please apply with:
- Your CV
- A short introduction explaining why you would be suited to the role
- Examples of social media accounts, videos, graphics or campaigns you have previously created
- Details of the platforms and content-editing software you are confident using
- Your expected hourly rate or salary
We are particularly interested in seeing real examples of your work and understanding how you would approach growing our three brands.
