Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Security Alarm & CCTV Engineer to join our established, friendly security company covering Sussex and the surrounding areas.
This position is specifically for someone who already has hands-on experience working with intruder alarm systems. We are therefore looking for applicants with a minimum of one year's practical experience installing, servicing and fault-finding intruder alarms, together with experience working with CCTV systems.
This is not a trainee position. While we will provide training on the particular systems and equipment we use, the successful applicant should already understand the fundamentals of alarm installation, servicing and fault diagnosis and be comfortable working in customers' homes and commercial premises.
The Role
You will be involved in:
- Installing intruder alarm systems
- Servicing and maintaining existing alarm systems
- Diagnosing and rectifying alarm faults
- Installing and servicing CCTV systems
- Fault-finding CCTV equipment, cameras and associated cabling
- Carrying out upgrades and additions to existing systems
- Completing service and installation paperwork accurately
- Communicating professionally with residential and commercial customers
Essential Experience
Applicants must have:
- At least 1 year's hands-on experience installing and/or servicing intruder alarm systems
- Practical experience with CCTV installation and servicing
- Experience fault-finding security systems
- A good understanding of cabling and installation practices
- Confidence working independently once familiar with our systems and procedures
- Good customer service and communication skills
- A full UK driving licence
- A reliable and professional approach to work
Please note: CCTV, telecoms, data or electrical experience alone will not be sufficient for this position. Applicants must have practical intruder alarm experience.

Bespoke Security Sussex Ltd is an established, SSAIB-approved security company working with residential, commercial and construction clients across Sussex.
We are a small, experienced team and are looking for someone who wants to become a long-term part of the company. We value good workmanship, reliability and treating our customers properly.
The successful applicant will work alongside our experienced engineer initially to become familiar with our systems, customers and working practices before progressing to independent work.
A company van will be provided once the engineer has completed their initial training/familiarisation period and is ready to work independently.
Salary will be dependent upon experience.
