Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and specifications
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist in meal planning and menu development to meet customer preferences and dietary requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including equipment and work areas
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of ingredients and equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience with meal preparation and culinary techniques
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not mandatory
