Job Summary
HWM Group is a Hampshire-based contractor providing demolition, soil stabilisation, contaminated land remediation and groundworks services across the south of England.
We are looking for an organised and accurate Accounts Administrator to give day-to-day support our finance team. This role would suit someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing a varied workload.
Responsibilities
- Enter supplier invoices accurately into the accounting system.
- Check invoices against internal delivery and conveyance records.
- Manage supplier invoice queries by telephone and email.
- Monitor and respond to internal and external accounts emails.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries.
- Enter aggregate and muck-away tickets onto internal spreadsheets and client portals.
- Identify ticket discrepancies and raise queries with suppliers.
- Support credit control activities, including:
- Producing and checking customer statements.
- Maintaining credit control spreadsheets.
- Monitoring outstanding accounts.
- Contacting customers regarding overdue payments.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
- Complete other administrative tasks requested by the finance team.
Additional Duties
- Coordinate IT and communications requirements for new starters and leavers.
- Arrange the setup, amendment and removal of user accounts, devices, telephone systems and related access.
- Liaise with external IT and communications providers where required.

- Capability to stay organised and maintain details records
- Must be comfortable in fast paced environment
- Good arithmetic competency
- Good command or written and spoken English language
- Proficiency in EXCEL and other Microsoft packages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective decision making and problem solving techniques
- Ability to learn new systems and use new software
- Own transport essential due to rural office location

Holiday entitlement: 28 days per year, including bank holidays
