Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team in providing care and support to individuals in a supported living setting in central Gloucester. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and ensuring the well-being of residents.
Responsibilities include:
· Support plans- reviewing, completing, and changing support plans and Health action plans. Ensuring that staff are completing 12 weekly reviews with individuals.
· Supervisions and PDP- complete PDP and supervisions and support with outcomes and actions from these meetings.
· Rota management- covering shifts, supporting with changes to rota, ensuring the hours are correct and the needs of the service are met.
· Audits- completing monthly audits and recording and reporting any actions required with senior team and manager.
· Ordering and management of medication and medication competency assessment with staff.
· Finance management- ensuring the safe running of all finances, checks are completed, and any concerns are reported.
· ON CALL- responsibilities that come with the on-call procedure including shift cover.
· Ensuring Safeguarding is promoted, and any concerns are reported immediately following procedures.
· Role modelling positive and therapeutic approach.
· Understanding the role of CQC and what qualifies as a CQC notification.
· Understanding the hours of the service and ECM. Updating 1-1 sheets to ensure that all 1-1 is allocated.
· Ensuring that all appointments, reviews, health checks etc are up to date and completed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is advantageous
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide support staff
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and colleagues
- Proficient IT skills to record information accurately and access necessary documentation
£13.65 week days
£14.60 Weekends
£67 per sleep-in
